2000 ~

  • 2018
    07.03 The 8th Gunsan City Council opened on July 3, 2018 with 23 members.
    06.13. 23 members were elected in accordance with district adjustment.
  • 2014
    06.04. 24 members were elected during the 7th election of Gunsan City Council members and the 7th Gunsan City Council opened on July 3 of the same year.
  • 2010
    07.10 The 6th Gunsan City Council opened on July 10, 2010 with 24 members.
    06.02. 24 members were elected during the 6th election of Gunsan City Council members and the 6th Gunsan City Council opened on July 10 of the same year.
  • 2006
    07.05. The 5th Gunsan City Council opened on July 5, 2005 with 24 members.
    05.31. 24 members were elected in accordance with district adjustment.
  • 2002
    07.09. The 4th Gunsan City Council opened on July 9, 2002 with 26 members.
    06.13. 26 members were elected through district integration in the first local election for the new millennium.

1990 ~

  • 1998
    07.09. Opened a new chapter of localization era starting with the 3rd Gunsan City Council that opened on July 9 by municipal members elected at the 3rd council election from 29 electoral districts.
    06.04. Held the 3rd Municipal Council Election and elected 29 members.
  • 1997
    07.14. Gunsan City Council was relocated to the new government office building established in Jochon-dong.
  • 1995
    07.11. Held the opening ceremony of the 2nd Gunsan City Council on July 11 with 36 members elected at the Municipal Election.
    06.27. Held the 2nd Municipal Council Election and elected 36 members
    01.01. Gunsan-si and Okgu-gun were integrated due to city and district integration, so the 1st Integrated Gunsan City Council started with 34 members and opened on January 5 of the same year to mark a new beginning.

    03.26. A municipal member election held on March 26, 1991, 30 years after the dismissal of Municipal Council, and the Municipal Council opened on April 15 of the same year with 23 members elected from Gunsan-si and 11 members elected from Okgu-gun.

    12.19. Held the 3rd Gunsan Member Election with a direct election by Gusan citizens and opened the council by electing 15 members.

    08.08. Held the 2nd Gunsan Member Election with a direct election by Gusan citizens and opened the council by electing 15 members.

    04.25. Held the 1st Gunsan Member Election on April 25, 1952 with a direct election by Gusan citizens and opened the council by electing 19 members after the enactment of the Local Autonomy Act on July 4, 1949.
  • 1949
    07.04. The Local Autonomy Act was enacted as the Law No. 32, but the implementation of the Local Autonomy Act was delayed due to the outbreak of Korean War on June 25, 1950.
